Whenever Grandparents & Grandchildren are Together, Great Things Happen!

This phrase was the theme of Grandparent’s Day 2008 and one of premonition for April 4th – because for many great things did happen.  We are happy to report that nearly 1,000 grandparents attended the 27th Annual Grandparents’ Day.

From children singing to students’ sentiments about their grandparents on video, this day was about relationship – the bond of grandchild and grandparent.  As handmade gifts were given and family photos were taken, a mixture of delight, pride and joy filled the halls of this campus.  Grandparent and parent of alumni, Tom Heinselman, closed the program with tender words of appreciation for the blessing of raising three children and now, three grandchildren at GAC.
